Welcome to Full Moon Geckos! I own and breed a small number of Crested Geckos. I bought my first gecko early 2010,and just fell absolutely in love with them! My brood has expanded rapidly since then, and I hope to expand even more in the future. Even though I am new to them, I have many friends who have been in the gecko business for many many years, so I have lots of experience and advice on my side. I do everything I can to ensure everyone's health and happiness. I won't stand for anything less!
My Care Sheet :
I care for my geckos as carefully as I can. I lavish them with love whenever I get the chance. I just love holding them and letting them run all around my arms and head.
For food, I mix Pangea and BPZ Color Bomb. They are also misted at least twice a day. Many places say to feed them baby food. DON'T! It is not healthy for them and can lead to serious side effects.
During breeding seasons they are kept at about 73-78 degrees, with a humidity level of around 75-80%. There's no special lighting like UV bulbs needed for these guys. They do need natural sunlight though, so don't stick them in a basement! If they receive no sunlight, then their health will decline. Be aware that they are night creatures, and need relative quiet during the day so they can sleep.
The adult enclosures are almost all 18x18x24 Exo Terra cages with lots of vegetation, bamboo tubes, little hides, and bendy branches/vines. (Will put up pictures eventually). The babies/smaller geckos obviously are in much smaller containers, usually KK's (Kritter keepers) turned on their sides for height, 12x12x12 Exo Terra's, or 12x12x18 Exo Terra's so I can actually find them, and the cage sizes increase as the gecko grows.
Pretty much everything is different from breeder to breeder, this is just a quick look at the way I run things.
